Stancill quick at Daytona Test
(Ayden, NC) Even after taking several months off from racing to concentrate on his education, John Stancill took to the high banks of Daytona International Speedway like a seasoned professional. The 19 year old Stancill turned the second quickest lap of the three day test recently conducted by the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. "It was just an awesome experience." Stancill said. "I am so excited to have the opportunity to come down here with Venturini Motorsports and participate in this testing session. I had to take a final exam on Thursday morning (December 15th) and then we just drove down to Daytona. Stancill's fast lap of 47.811 (188.241 mph) was only beat by teammate Alex Bowman who turned a 47.787. "I think this is just a testimony to Venturini's preparedness and just goes to show what a great organization I'm with. These men worked for weeks and weeks on these cars and it's a great feeling to come down here and see all that hard work pay off."Venturini Motorsports took home the top four positions during the three day test in which 79 drivers participated. "I'm really looking forward to racing next year, we are so close to securing sponsorship for the entire season. I have some great people working with me to gain sponsorship - Bobby Farrish out in Los Angeles and well as Kyle Williams from Raleigh, NC. We have received very positive feed back from their proposals." Stancill stated. "I just can't wait to actually race in February. My car was really fast, I got a lot of seat time during the test. I learned a lot about the track, my car, and myself. It was just an overall good weekend for myself and Venturini Motorsports."
